A Message from the Year 5 and Year 6 Phase Leader

Year 5 is an exciting stage where pupils begin to deepen their understanding and develop greater independence in learning. Our focus is on building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while encouraging creativity and curiosity across all subjects. This year, pupils will enjoy a rich curriculum that includes inspiring author visits, engaging science investigations, and opportunities to explore history and geography in meaningful ways. 

Beyond the classroom, we aim to provide experiences that build confidence and teamwork, such as sports activities and creative arts projects. Every child is encouraged to take on new challenges, discover their talents, and develop the resilience needed for success. With the support of families, we will ensure that Year 5 is a year of growth, discovery, and preparation for the exciting journey ahead.
